Job summary

Metro Rod is seeking a full-time Reactive Drainage Engineer based in Norwich to carry out maintenance services, including CCTV and coding. The role demands experience in commercial and domestic drainage along with the ability to provide excellent customer service.

Successful candidates will have a driving license and experience with high-pressure water jetting and confined spaces.

In return, Metro Rod offers a salary between £30,000 - £50,000 along with a bonus scheme and company benefits.

What’s involved?

We are looking for someone who can do CCTV and coding, as well as patching & lining on top of the regular reactive duties:

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers’ drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided
• Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year.

What do we look for?

Suitable candidates will be able to display a great working attitude together with skills pertaining to the clearance, cleaning and repair of both internal small bore and external drainage systems.

• Experience in commercial & domestic Drainage is essential
• Experience in drain cleaning, drain repairs, patch lining
• Drainage tickets including HPWJ, Confined spaces and CSCS
• Have experience with CCTV Surveys and Lining
• Will have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
• Be willing to work occasional / unsociable hours
• Hold a full UK driving licence – must be over 25 for insurance purposes
