Job summary

Metro Rod in the UK is seeking a Reactive Drainage Engineer for the Sussex & Kent regions. The role covers BN, ME and TN postcodes with full-time permanent employment. Salary ranges from £26,436 to £43,000 DOE, plus on-call duties, overtime, a bonus scheme and benefits.

Ideal candidates will have drainage experience, CSCS, HPWJ and CCTV exposure, plus a full UK driving licence. You will work on domestic and commercial sites across a growing service network.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial & domestic drainage services.
• Experience with CCTV surveys is advantageous.
• Tickets: HPWJ, Confined spaces, CSCS.

• Carry out emergency drainage services including cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of customer assets.
• Deliver high standard of customer service and technical work.
• Work in accordance with H&S and Quality procedures.

What’s involved?

• Carry out a range of services associated with our emergency services offering, cleaning, clearance, repair, installation and maintenance of our customer’s assets new and old
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality procedures
• Maintain a high standard of company service, vehicles and equipment
• Accurately record completed work details via internal and client systems
• Communicate effectively to ensure an excellent service is provided at all times
• Have a positive and helpful can-do attitude
• Cover normal working hours and “on call” out-of-hours on a rota basis and have a flexible attitude to covering emergency situations when called upon outside of the these periods

What do we look for?

Suitable candidates will be able to display a great working attitude together with skills pertaining to the clearance, cleaning and repair of both internal small bore and external drainage systems.

• Experience in commercial & domestic Drainage is essential
• Experience in drain cleaning, drain repairs, patch lining
• Drainage tickets including HPWJ, Confined spaces and CSCS
• Have experience with CCTV Surveys and Lining an advantage
• Will have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
• Want to be part of an exciting, growing and progressive business with an increasingly formidable brand presence
• Be willing to work occasional / unsociable hours
• Hold a full UK driving licence - must be over 21 for insurance purposes
• Must live in Kent (BN, TN and ME post codes)
