Job summary

Sainsbury's in the United Kingdom is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver to deliver groceries to customers' doorsteps with a friendly, helpful service and safe driving. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, complete checks, follow planned routes and keep customers informed.

When not delivering, you may help across the store. The role requires 18+, a full UK licence for 12+ months with ≤6 points, UK right to work, and willingness to undertake safety assessments.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years old with a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months and no more than 6 points.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willing to complete online driving risk assessment and a driving assessment during joining.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep delivering orders with a friendly, helpful service.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Perform vehicle checks, keep shopping secure, and follow planned routes safely.
• Handle containers up to 15 kg and assist across the store when not delivering.
• Communicate delays or queries to customers and adapt to road and weather conditions.
