Job summary

Sainsbury’s is hiring a Customer Delivery Driver in the United Kingdom. You’ll be the face of the store, delivering groceries to customers' doorsteps in a friendly, helpful way while upholding safety and reliability.

Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, complete vehicle checks, follow planned routes, lift up to 15 kg containers, and assist in-store when not out delivering. You’ll need a full UK driving licence, be 18+, and maintain excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
• Will complete an online driving risk assessment and a driving assessment if successful.
• You must have Right to Work in the UK.
• Delivery duties include using route/delivery technology and ensuring safety on the road.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep, delivering groceries with a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to customers on time and in good condition.
• Perform vehicle checks to confirm roadworthiness and secure customers’ shopping.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varied locations and conditions.
• Move containers up to 15kg and deliver to properties with steps or lifts when needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers, inform them of delays, and handle queries.
• Assist across the store when not out making deliveries.
