Job summary

BDS Recruitment are seeking a Support Worker to assist service users fleeing domestic abuse. Roles are available across Liskeard, Launceston and Bodmin. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in this sector and in dealing with domestic abuse.

Main duties include helping adults and children settle into accommodation, listening to residents, supporting them to move on when ready, and assisting with life changes such as training courses. A driver with access to a vehicle is required.

Qualifications

• Must have enhanced DBS including Child & Adult Workforce within last 12 months or on update service.
• Experience assisting adults in accommodation or domestic abuse support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help adults and children settle into accommodation.
• Be a proactive listener to help residents feel comfortable.
• Assist residents as they move on when they feel ready.
• Support residents with life changes, e.g. training courses.

This a temporary ongoing contract to start ASAP

Hours; Monday- Friday 9am- 5pm

Must be a driver with acsess to a vehicle

Must hold an enhanced DBS including Child and Adult Workforce from the last 12 months/ on the update service
