Job summary

Warrington Women's Aid is recruiting a Complex Domestic Abuse Support Worker in Warrington. The role provides intensive support to women facing domestic abuse who may also have mental health needs, substance misuse, learning disabilities or physical disabilities.

You will work with women in refuge, in the community and post-resettlement, holding a caseload of at least 20 while collaborating with a team to ensure safe, person-centred support.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Full UK Driving Licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Role provides intensive support to women experiencing domestic abuse, including those with mental health needs, substance misuse, neurodiversity or physical disabilities.
• Work with women in refuge, in the community and post-resettlement, managing a caseload of at least 20.
• Collaborate with Specialist Domestic Abuse Support Workers, Children & Family Support Worker and Domestic Abuse Floating Support Worker to ensure safe, coordinated, person-centred support.
• The role is primarily refuge-based but includes community work.
• Participation in occasional out-of-hours work may be requested.

Job description

The Complex Domestic Abuse Support Worker provides intensive support to women experiencing domestic abuse who also face additional challenges such as mental health needs, substance misuse, learning disabilities (including neurodiversity), and physical disabilities (this is not an exhaustive list).

The role supports women in refuge, in the community, and post-resettlement, holding acaseload of at least 20 women. The postholder will work closely with the SpecialistDomestic Abuse Support Workers, Children & Family Support Worker, and DomesticAbuse Floating Support Worker to ensure safe, coordinated, person-centred support.
