Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician for an in-house team in Southampton. You will handle electrical repairs, testing and refurbishments across local residential properties, with a stable workload and on-call availability.

The role offers £40,000–£43,000 plus overtime, a company van, fuel card, PDA, tools, and a smart device, plus a pension scheme and generous holiday allowance. Applicants should hold C&G 2330 and 2382 with a full UK licence.

Qualifications

• Qualifications: C&G 2330 (or equivalent) + C&G 2382 (18th Edition).
• Licence: Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience: Domestic fault-finding, repairs, and customer-facing service.
• On-Call: Willingness to participate in an Emergency Out-of-Hours rota.
• Tech Skills: Smartphone/PDA apps for daily workflows.
• Desirable: C&G 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing certification.

Responsibilities

• Repairs & Fault Finding: Troubleshoot single- and three-phase systems, replace electric showers, and swap immersion elements.
• Testing & Certification: Carry out EICRs, PAT testing, and issue Electrical Installation / Minor Works certificates.
• Safety & Compliance: Work strictly to current BS 7671 (Part P) regulations and report urgent H&S defects directly to the Qualifying Supervisor.
• Job Management: Log jobs digitally via mobile/PDA and manage van stock accurately.
