Job summary

Bedfordshire Pilgrims Housing Association is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our Responsive Repairs Team. You will carry out repairs, installations, testing and fault finding in occupied homes and void properties, delivering high‑quality workmanship and customer service.

Based on a 40‑hour week with an 8‑week rota, you’ll work across Bedfordshire and surrounding counties, holding NVQ3, 18th edition and a full UK driving licence while using a company van and tools.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation and AM2.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (desirable).

Responsibilities

Electrical repairs, maintenance and small installation works.
Installation of new circuits and alterations of existing circuits where required.
Consumer unit replacements.
Inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations, completing electrical Installation certificates, minor works certificates, electrical installation condition reports.

Covering Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas

Responsive Repairs Team - 40 hours weekly worked on an 8-week rota as per below:
Shift Pattern 1 - Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (including 1 hour lunch)
Shift Pattern 2 - Monday & Wednesday 11am-8pm. Tuesday. Thursday & Friday 8am -5pm

Shift Pattern 3 - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8am-5pm, Wednesday 8am-12noon, Saturday 830am - 1230
