Job summary

JobsTrackR is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our Responsive Repairs Team in Basingstoke. This permanent role offers 39 hours per week, a company van and fuel card, and stable employment with a leading social housing provider.

You will perform responsive electrical repairs in occupied and void properties, carry out testing and certification, and ensure compliance with current regulations while delivering strong customer service in residents' homes.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with domestic and commercial electrical experience.
• Mandatory certifications: NVQ Level 3, AM2, 18th Edition and testing qualification.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive electrical repairs and maintenance in occupied and void properties.
• Perform fault finding, testing, inspection and remedial works.
• Carry out fixed wire testing and certification.
• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems up to 230v/415v.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and compliant with regulations.
• Accurately complete certificates, reports and job documentation.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Deliver excellent customer service whilst working in residents' homes.

Electrician – Responsive Repairs Team

We are currently recruiting for an experiencedElectrician to join a leading social housing provider's Responsive Repairs Team, covering Havant & Portsmouth

This is a permanent position working 39 hours per week:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Friday 8 - 3:30pm
• Saturday (Once in Month, Get a half day during the week) - 8 - 1pm
• OOH - 1 in 4 weeks. £525 extra (£6,000 extra per Year)
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out responsive electrical repairs and maintenance within occupied and void properties.

• Electrical fault finding, testing, inspection, and remedial works.

• Fixed wire testing and certification.

• Installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems up to 230v/415v.

• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations.

• Accurately completing certificates, reports, and job documentation.

• Interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

• Delivering excellent customer service whilst working in residents' homes.

Essential Qualifications:

• NVQ LVL 3 - Gold Card
• AM2
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• C&G 2391-52 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Qualified electrician with experience in domestic and commercial electrical works.

• Strong knowledge of electrical testing, inspection, installation, and maintenance.

• Ability to complete certification and documentation accurately.

• Experience working within social housing or responsive repairs environments is desirable.

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

• Full UK Driving Licence.
