Job summary

Sodexo Royal Stoke Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent is hiring a Kitchen Porter. Join the team behind the scenes to support chefs and ensure dishes meet high standards. You'll work 36.75 hours per week across 4 days on, 4 days off, with shifts from 10am to 9pm.

You’ll carry out porter duties, comply with HSEQ, deliver items to wards, maintain hygiene, and support catering service delivery. We offer Sodexo Benefits, uniform provided, and opportunities to develop health and wellbeing resources.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of kitchen porter duties in line with schedules and supervisor instructions
• Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) legislation and standard
• Take responsibility for personal and team health & safety, ensuring no risk to others
• Deliver ad hoc food and equipment items to wards and clinical areas
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to support catering service delivery
• Complete daily records and documentation accurately and on time
• Move food trolleys and equipment safely, following procedures and escalation routes
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, infection control, and ensure equipment is properly cleaned, serviced, and operational
