Job summary

South Coast Nursing Homes Ltd is seeking a Domestic Assistant for The Poets in Worthing. The role covers 32 hours per week with alternating weeks, delivering high standards of cleanliness across the home and supporting resident comfort.

You will clean rooms, dust and mop communal areas and help with laundry needs. The position offers development opportunities and a supportive team in a luxury care setting.

Responsibilities

• To provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home at all times.
• To clean residents’ rooms thoroughly each day after nursing staff have completed their patient care. To check flowers and plants and water/dispose of as necessary.
• To clean communal areas including mopping, vacuuming, dusting.
• Ensuring the home is safe e.g removing clutter, keeping storage areas tidy.
• Shampoo carpets as and when needed.
• To present and provide clean and ironed laundry at all times, available for clients as needed.
• To take particular care with resident’s personal laundry, to prevent accidental damage and present in well ironed state.
• To check resident’s personal laundry for tears, broken zips or lost buttons and refer to matron for discussion if a repair if necessary

An opportunity has arisen within the South Coast Nursing Homes group for a Domestic Assistant at our luxurious nursing home The Poets in Worthing.

Hours: 32 hours per week, alternating weekly between Week 1 and Week 2;

Week 1 - Mon,Tues, Wed and Fri - 10am - 6pm

Week 2 - Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sun - 10am - 6pm

The purpose of this role is to keep the home clean and safe, providing a superior
service to our residents
