South Coast Nursing Homes in Worthing is seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to help maintain a high standard of cleanliness in a luxury nursing home. The role involves daily room cleaning, laundry tasks, and upkeep of communal areas, with shift patterns rotating across weeks.

Qualifications

• High standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.
• Clean residents' rooms thoroughly each day after nursing staff have completed care; check flowers and plants and water/dispose of as necessary.
• Clean communal areas including mopping, vacuuming, dusting.
• Ensure the home is safe e.g removing clutter, keeping storage areas tidy.
• Shampoo carpets as and when needed.
• Present and provide clean and ironed laundry at all times, available for clients as needed.
• Take particular care with residents' personal laundry, to prevent accidental damage and present in well ironed state.
• Check residents' personal laundry for tears, broken zips or lost buttons and refer to matron for discussion if a repair if necessary

Responsibilities

An opportunity has arisen within the South Coast Nursing Homes group for a Domestic Assistant at our luxurious nursing home The Poets in Worthing.

Hours: 32 hours per week, alternating weekly between Week 1 and Week 2;

Week 1 - Mon,Tues, Wed and Fri - 10am - 6pm

Week 2 - Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sun - 10am - 6pm

The purpose of this role is to keep the home clean and safe, providing a superior service to our residents

• To provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the
  home at all times.
• To clean residents' rooms thoroughly each day after nursing staff have
  completed their patient care. To check flowers and plants and
  water/dispose of as necessary.
• To clean communal area's including mopping, vacuuming, dusting
