Job summary

Skycare in Darenth, Dartford is seeking a Head Housekeeper with leadership experience to take ownership of the housekeeping department in our care home.

This is a full-time role offering £13.00 per hour for 40 hours per week, with opportunities for training and career progression in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in care home, healthcare, hotel, or hospitality for at least one year.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and motivating the housekeeping team to deliver outstanding standards of cleanliness
• Ensuring residents' bedrooms, communal areas, dining rooms, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards
• Managing housekeeping rotas and daily task allocation
• Conducting quality checks and audits
• Monitoring stock levels and ordering cleaning supplies
• Supporting staff training and development
• Ensuring compliance with infection control, COSHH, and health & safety regulations
