Job summary

Darenth, Dartford area: Head Housekeeper role offering £13.00 per hour for 40 hours per week in a care home setting. You will lead and develop a housekeeping team to deliver exceptional cleanliness and a safe, welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the housekeeping team to maintain outstanding cleanliness standards.

• Manage rotas and daily task allocation for the housekeeping team.
• Conduct quality checks and audits of cleaning standards.
• Monitor stock levels and order cleaning supplies as needed.
• Support staff training and development.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, COSHH, and health & safety regulations.

We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Head Housekeeper to join our friendly care home team in Darenth, Dartford. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the housekeeping department and play a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading and motivating the housekeeping team to deliver outstanding standards of cleanliness
• Ensuring residents' bedrooms, communal areas, dining rooms, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards
• Managing housekeeping rotas and daily task allocation
• Conducting quality checks and audits
• Monitoring stock levels and ordering cleaning supplies
• Supporting staff training and development
• Ensuring compliance with infection control, COSHH, and health & safety regulations

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a housekeeping role within a care home, healthcare, hotel, or hospitality environment for at leasr one year
• Supervisory or team leadership experience

• Good communication and people management skills
• Right to work in the UK, no need for sponsorship
