Job summary

Skycare in Darenth, Dartford is seeking a hands-on Head Housekeeper to lead a housekeeping team in Darenth. This full-time role offers £13.00 per hour for 40 hours per week, with a chance to own the department and ensure a clean, safe, welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.

You will supervise the team, manage rotas, conduct quality checks, monitor stock, support staff training and ensure infection control and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more in housekeeping within care home, healthcare, hotel or hospitality
• Supervisory or team leadership experience

We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Head Housekeeper to join our friendly care home team in Darenth, Dartford. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the housekeeping department and play a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading and motivating the housekeeping team to deliver outstanding standards of cleanliness
• Ensuring residents' bedrooms, communal areas, dining rooms, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards
• Managing housekeeping rotas and daily task allocation
• Conducting quality checks and audits
• Monitoring stock levels and ordering cleaning supplies
• Supporting staff training and development
• Ensuring compliance with infection control, COSHH, and health & safety regulations

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a housekeeping role within a care home, healthcare, hotel, or hospitality environment for at leasr one year
• Supervisory or team leadership experience
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
• Good communication and people management skills
• Right to work in the UK, no need for sponsorship
