Job summary

Sodexo at Royal Stoke Hospital is seeking a Domestic Cleaner to help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors. You’ll contribute to health and wellbeing across the hospital and take pride in delivering exceptional service as part of a dedicated team.

We offer a supportive environment with 35 hours per week (Sunday to Thursday, 07:30–15:00), and a pay range of £10.90–£13.14 per hour. You’ll receive a uniform, access to Blue Light Card, and Sodexo benefits.

• Physical capability to carry out cleaning duties across hospital areas (beds, wards, floors).

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, wards, communal spaces, restrooms, and hospital areas.
• Strip and clean beds, collect used linen for processing.
• Clean surfaces, including desks, ceilings, vents, blinds, and walls, to maintain hygiene.
• Perform daily tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, floor polishing, and replenishing supplies.
• Empty waste bins and manage refuse in line with hospital protocols.
• Promote and maintain a safe, healthy environment for all patients, staff, and visitors.
