Sodexo is seeking a Domestic Cleaner to join our team at Royal Stoke Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent. In this vital role you’ll help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors.

The position offers 26.25 hours per week, 4 on 4 off, 6am–2pm, with uniform provided and Sodexo Benefits. You’ll perform cleaning in patient rooms and wards, restrooms, and communal areas while upholding health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, wards, communal areas and restrooms.

• Empty waste bins and manage refuse per hospital protocols.
• Promote a safe, healthy environment for all patients, staff and visitors.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, wards, communal spaces, restrooms, and other hospital areas
• Strip and clean beds, collect used linen for processing
• Clean surfaces, including desks, ceilings, vents, blinds, and walls, to maintain a hygienic environment
• Perform daily tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, floor polishing, and replenishing supplies
• Empty waste bins and manage refuse in line with hospital protocols
• Promote and maintain a safe, healthy environment for all patients, staff, and visitors
