Job summary

Maples Care Home in Bexleyheath is seeking a Domestic Assistant to help keep residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas clean to a high standard. You will also support laundry services and ensure personal belongings are handled with care.

You will work 16 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, with paid DBS, pension and uniform provided, and 5.6 weeks of annual leave based on a full-time contract.

Maples Care Home is a purpose-built nursing home in Bexleyheath, set over three floors and designed to combine modern facilities with a warm, homely atmosphere. The home offers 75 spacious ensuite bedrooms where residents are encouraged to personalise their space, creating a comfortable and supportive environment.

Domestic Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 16 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
