Job summary

WOMEN'S AID FEDERATION OF ENGLAND is seeking a Domestic Abuse Practitioner for Coventry to work from Valley House, with a full-time 37.5-hour week. The role involves managing a caseload, delivering 1-to-1 and group support, and supporting residents to achieve independent living within the supported accommodation setting.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting individuals and families in housing/supported accommodation.
• Caseload management and group work delivery experience.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry a caseload of service users, providing 1 to 1 support.
• Provide a resettlement service for service users transitioning into their own accommodation through phone and face to face contact as required.
• Deliver structured group work for service users.
• Support the delivery of informal and peer support sessions for service users.
• Ensure a safe and supportive living environment for all service users, adhering to Valley House policies and procedures.
• Ensure all necessary initial, move in and ongoing paperwork is completed with service users within Valley House timelines.
• Complete and review all risk assessments and support plans in partnership with service users and in line with service expectations.
• Meet with service users as required and engage with other professionals to support the service.
• Work towards a planned and safe end of service and ensure safeguarding compliance.
• Input all service user information onto the Valley House Case Management System.
• Act as named lead for an underrepresented group, undertaking outreach and awareness with other organisations.
• Attend external events as required and participate in the on-call rota.
