Pro Steel Engineering is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Document Controller to support a major project on a fixed-term basis. This role is critical in ensuring that all project documentation is accurately managed, controlled, and maintained in line with company procedures and project requirements.
The contract is expected to last for the duration of the project (approximately 6-9 months) and would suit someone with previous document control experience who can work independently within a fast-paced engineering and construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all project documentation, ensuring records are accurate, up to date, and easily accessible.
- Control the receipt, distribution, tracking, and submission of project documents, drawings, and technical information.
- Maintain both electronic and paper-based document management systems in line with company procedures.
- Ensure documents are correctly version-controlled and revisions are recorded and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Scan, file, archive, and retrieve project documentation as required.
- Support project teams by monitoring document workflows and ensuring deadlines for submissions are met.
- Liaise with operational, commercial, and project teams to ensure documentation requirements are fulfilled.
- Input and maintain accurate project data and records within company systems.
- Handle incoming correspondence related to project documentation and ensure appropriate distribution.
- Assist with auditing and compliance checks to ensure document control standards are maintained.
- Maintain organised filing structures and ensure all documentation is readily available for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the administration and coordination of Airside Pass applications and associated documentation.
- Previous experience in a Document Controller, Project Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of document control procedures and version management.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction, or document control would be advantageous but is not essential
