Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a District Nurse Specialist Practitioner to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in patients' homes and communities in Clydebank and surrounding areas. You will lead an autonomous district nursing team, coordinating care and ensuring safe, effective service delivery.

The post requires Specialist Practitioner qualification in District Nursing, V300 prescribing, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and Adult nursing scope.
• Specialist Practitioner qualification in District Nursing at Master’s level.
• V300 Prescribing qualification and advanced clinical assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a defined district nursing caseload with person-centred care.
• Provide skilled clinical interventions and act as clinical expert in community practice.
• Coordinate workload, prioritise care needs and respond to urgent requests.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver holistic care.
• Delegate, supervise and support team members to maintain high standards.
