Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a Community Staff Nurse to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in the community. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care within the District Nursing Team, promoting independence and collaborating with families, carers and multidisciplinary teams.

The post requires a live NMC UK pin and offers a 36-hour week in a permanent full-time contract, with shifts 08:00–20:00 and backshifts on holidays/weekends to meet service needs.

Qualifications

• Part 1 NMC Registration or 2nd Level Registration with General Nursing Experience
• Evidence of continuing professional development and Revalidation
• IT skills - word processing, email, internet
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Full Driving Licence (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Provide an accessible, high-quality nursing service to all age groups in the community.
• Lead and enable the district nursing team to deliver a quality nursing service.
• Be a registered nurse supporting the district nurse in delivering care.
• Provide skilled nursing interventions for patients.
• Manage delegated activity and support other district nursing team members
