Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the District Nursing Service. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in the community, working closely with families and a multidisciplinary team to deliver a 24-hour service.

The post requires an active NMC pin, independent working, and a commitment to flexible hours across weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Understanding of district nursing practice and community-based care delivery.
• Knowledge of health promotion and determinants of ill health.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for district nursing caseload.
• Provide skilled clinical interventions and manage workload.
• Lead and supervise staff and students; participate in audits and quality improvement.
