Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Section Manager for one of our Customer Delivery Hubs in the United Kingdom. You will lead a team of Partners responsible for direct to customer deliveries, ensuring smooth supply chain operations and exceptional customer service aligned with the John Lewis standard.

You will plan resources, nurture cross-team relationships, monitor KPIs, and oversee the transport office daily activities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Transport Operations and Legal Compliance.
• People Management Experience
• Experience of managing disciplinary matters and grievances.
• Desirable: C1 UK Driving Licence
• Manager CPC qualification
• Hiring Manager / Recruitment experience
• Incident management experience

Responsibilities

• Planning operational resources (daily and weekly) with the Partners and agency.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with the operational teams to ensure communication across the site remains effective.
• Monitoring and analysing department KPIs to look for trends and opportunities to facilitate continuous improvement within the team.
• Ensuring daily communication with the transport planning team.
• Managing the day-to-day running of the transport office (schedules and conference calls).
