Job summary

The John Lewis Partnership in Bristol is seeking a Section Manager to lead a Partners team responsible for direct-to-customer deliveries and to ensure the smooth running of the supply chain while upholding John Lewis customer service standards.

You will plan resources, monitor KPIs, manage drivers, and coordinate with transport planning. Flexible hours and out-of-hours responsibilities are included. Driving licence and CPC are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Transport Operations and Legal Compliance.
• Experience of managing disciplinaries and grievances.
• Current driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• C1 UK Driving Licence.
• Hiring Manager / Recruitment experience.
• Incident management experience.

Responsibilities

• Planning operational resources (daily and weekly) with the Partners and agency.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with the operational teams to ensure communication across the site remains effective.
• Monitoring and analysing department KPIs to look for trends and opportunities to facilitate continuous improvement within the team.
• Managing driver requirements, such as dart tags, fuel cards, and vehicle keys.
• Ensuring daily communication with the transport planning team.
• Managing the day-to-day running of the transport office (for example, schedules and conference calls).
