Job summary

Fresh Direct in London (Dagenham) is seeking a Distribution Shift Manager to lead a high‑volume shift, delivering products efficiently to customers. You will manage a team of 100–170 people in an office-based role with occasional warehouse visits, ensuring transport standards, budgets and targets are met.

You will use data insights to improve processes, drive change, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, while navigating DVLA regulations and leveraging SAP/transport systems.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team and driving performance.
• Use data insights, trends and team input to improve processes.
• Understanding of DVLA regulations affecting drivers.
• Ability to drive change by influencing others.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, SAP and transport systems (Verizon, Convey, Roadnet, Samsara).
• CPC or willingness to acquire CPC within first year.

As our Distribution Shift Manager, you’ll lead the overall success of your shift, ensuring all transport standards, budgets, and targets are met. Managing a team of 100-170 people, you’ll keep everyone motivated, engaged and on-task - ensuring our products are expertly and efficiently delivered to our valuable customers. Office-based, with occasional visits to our multi-temperature warehouse, you’ll keep an eye on everything and everyone, from the location of cages to transport cost budgets and individual personal development. You’ll also be adept at course correcting plans based on changing information.
