Job summary

Sysco GB in Dagenham is recruiting a Distribution Shift Manager to lead the 20:00–05:00 shift. You'll oversee a 100–170 strong team, ensure transport standards, budgets and targets are met, and coordinate a multi‑temperature warehouse.

Office-based with site presence, you'll monitor operations, drive cost efficiencies and develop people. You'll bring leadership experience, data-driven decision making, knowledge of DVLA rules for drivers, and the ability to influence stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a large shift team (100-170 people).
• Ability to use data insights to improve processes.
• Knowledge of DVLA regulations affecting drivers.
• Willingness to acquire CPC within first year.

As our Distribution Shift Manager, you'lllead the overall success of your shift,ensuring all transport standards, budgets, and targets are met.Managing a team of 100-170 people, you'll keep everyone motivated, engaged and on-task - ensuring our products are expertly and efficiently delivered to our valuable customers. Office-based, with occasional visits to our multi-temperature warehouse, you'll keep an eye on everything and everyone, from the location of cages to transport cost budgets and individual personal development. You'll also be adept at course correcting plans based on changing information.

• using data insights, trends, and team input to improve department processes
• prioritising customer needs to deliver solutions that exceed expectations
• understanding of DVLA regulations that may impact drivers
• the ability to drive change by influencing others to see the bigger picture
• multiple stakeholder management skills that drive a culture of two-way feedback
• experience using Microsoft Office, SAP and Transport systems (Verizon, Convey, Roadnet, Samsara)
• CPC or the willingness to acquire CPC within your first year.
