Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited is seeking a Distribution and Sales Coordinator for our Costessey site near Norwich. The role involves coordinating deliveries, maximizing loads, and delivering excellent customer service across the order and delivery process.

The position focuses on day-to-day distribution with some selling, requiring strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to convert enquiries into orders. Applicants should be prepared to travel to the site location as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in distribution planning and sales support in a logistics environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to coordinate deliveries with logistics, production and customer service teams.
• Ability to convert enquiries into orders and support pricing where needed.
• Good numeracy and analytical skills; build relationships with drivers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the distribution and delivery of our RMX product range to customers.
• Plan and schedule deliveries to maximise vehicle utilisation and efficiency.
• Process orders and delivery schedules accurately and keep information up to date.
• Serve as the main contact for customers on scheduling, delivery times, and queries.
• Assist with pricing and quotes through to order conversion.
• Collaborate with teams to respond to enquiries and maintain high service levels.
• Resolve delivery or order issues promptly using problem-solving skills.
• Develop product and industry knowledge to better support sales activity.
