Job summary

Palletforce Logistics is seeking a Class 2 Driver for a full-time role in West London Heston. You will deliver goods safely, use handheld tech, and provide excellent customer service.

As a qualified driver you will perform daily vehicle checks, support peak periods, and maintain vehicle cleanliness to meet safety standards. The role offers a competitive package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Class 2 Driving License (C+E), Valid CPC, Digital Tacho Card.
• HGV/LGV Class license is required.
• Experience with CPC Training and strong geographical/logistical knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use handheld terminal to record accurate information.
• Occasionally drive 3.5t vehicles during peak periods.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety checks.
• Drive Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Complete daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness.
• Inform transport office of problems promptly (e.g., delays).
• Ensure fitness to drive; monitor alcohol, rest, and medications.

Class 2 Driver | Full time | West London Heston

THE ROLE

Our drivers are one of the most important roles within Palletforce Logistics, and as a fully qualified Class 2 Driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.

SALARY

Up to £41150 with £50 weekly bonuses

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Use of a handheld terminal to record accurate information


• Occasionally driving 3.5t vehicles during peak periods


• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle


• Driving Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly


• Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use


• Ensure you inform the transport office of any problems in good time i.e. if you're running late


• Fit to drive; considering alcohol intake, daily rest, prescribed/over the counter medication that could affect your ability to drive


• To ensure you arrive at your job on time


• Excellent customer service


• Maintain health and safety standards


• Operating in a safe way, following all road rules


• Ensure all paperwork is correct, completed and returned to the transport office


• Delivering goods to various locations

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Qualifications. Class 2 Driving License (C+E), Valid CPC, Digital Tacho Card. HGV/LGC Class license.


• Experience. Previous experience is essential. Refrigeration and multi drop experience would be beneficial. Will have completed a CPC Training Course and have a strong geographical and logistical knowledge.


• Communication. You will have good communication skills, spoken and written.


• Influence & Persuasion. Build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers.


• Planning & Organisation. You will be adaptable in your start and finish times and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
