Job summary

Palletforce Logistics West London, Heston is seeking a Class 1 Driver to deliver goods safely and efficiently, ensuring roadworthiness and daily vehicle checks.

The role requires a valid Class 1 licence (C+E), CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, with 12 months driving experience; refrigeration and multi-drop knowledge are highly desirable.

You'll work with our transport team, adhere to health and safety standards, and report issues promptly as part of our commitment to reliable, quality service.

Job description

Our drivers are one of the most important roles within Palletforce Logistics, and as a fully qualified Class 1 Driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.

Job Title: Class 1 Driver
Location: Palletforce Logistics West London, Heston
Salary: Up to £44270 plus £50 weekly bonus
Closing Date: 06/10/2026

ROLE RESPONSIBILITES:

• Use of a handheld terminal to record accurate information;
• Occasionally driving class 2 and 3.5t vehicles during peak periods;
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle;
• Driving Class 1 vehicle safely and responsibly;
• Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use;
• Ensure you inform the transport office of any problems in good time i.e. if you’re running late;
• Fit to drive; considering alcohol intake, daily rest, prescribed/over the counter medication that could affect your ability to drive;
• To ensure you arrive at your job on time;
• Maintain health and safety standards;
• Operating in a safe way, following all road rules;
• Ensure all paperwork is correct, completed and returned to the transport office;
• Delivering goods to various locations.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Qualifications. Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Valid CPC, Digital Tacho Card. HGV/LGC Class licence with 12 months experience.
• Experience. Experience. Previous experience is essential, with refrigeration and multi-drop delivery experience highly desirable. Will have completed their CPC training and demonstrate strong geographical and logistical knowledge. Experience in wide-load transport would be advantageous, although it is not essential.
• Communication. You will have good communication skills, spoken and written.
• Influence & Persuasion. Build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers.
• Planning & Organisation. You will be adaptable in your start and finish times and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
