Job summary

Palletforce is seeking a Class 2 Driver for our West London, Heston depot. You will deliver products to customers, operate a handheld terminal, and perform regular vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires CPC, Digital Tachograph Card, and a Class 2 license with prior multi-drop and refrigeration experience. A reliable communicator with good geography knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Class 2 driving license with CPC and tachograph knowledge.
• Previous refrigerated and multi-drop experience desirable.
• Strong geographical and logistical knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Use of a handheld terminal to record accurate information.
• Occasionally driving 3.5t vehicles during peak periods.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle.
• Driving Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use.
• Inform the transport office of any problems in good time (e.g., delays).
• Consider fitness to drive including alcohol, rest, and medication.
• Ensure you arrive at your job on time.
• Maintain health and safety standards.
• Operate in a safe way, following all road rules.
• Complete and return all paperwork to the transport office.
• Deliver goods to various locations.

Our drivers are one of the most important roles within Palletforce Logistics, and as a fully qualified Class 1 Driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.

Salary: Up to £41150 with £50 weekly bonuses

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use of a handheld terminal to record accurate information
• Occasionally driving 3.5t vehicles during peak periods
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
• Driving Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly
• Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use
• Ensure you inform the transport office of any problems in good time i.e. if you’re running late
• Fit to drive; considering alcohol intake, daily rest, prescribed/over the counter medication that could affect your ability to drive
• To ensure you arrive at your job on time
• Maintain health and safety standards
• Operating in a safe way, following all road rules
• Ensure all paperwork is correct, completed and returned to the transport office
• Delivering goods to various locations

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Qualifications. Class 2 Driving License (C+E), Valid CPC, Digital Tacho Card. HGV/LGC Class license.
• Experience. Previous experience is essential, with refrigeration and multi-drop delivery experience highly desirable. Will have completed their CPC training and demonstrate strong geographical and logistical knowledge. Experience in wide-load transport would be advantageous, although it is not essential.
• Communication. You will have good communication skills, spoken and written.
• Influence & Persuasion. Build good working relationships with work colleagues and our customers.
• Planning & Organisation. You will be adaptable in your start and finish times and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.
