Job summary

Palletforce Logistics in Erith is seeking a Class 2 Driver for a full-time position. You will deliver goods in a Class 2 vehicle, perform daily checks, and uphold safety and customer service standards.

The role requires a valid Class 2 license (C+E), CPC training, and a Digital Tachograph card, with flexibility for weekends and varying start/finish times. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold Class 2 Driving License (C+E) and have 12+ months driving experience.
• Completed CPC training course and a valid Digital Tachograph card are essential.
• Minimum 6 months driving experience; weekend work ability is required.
• Must be flexible with start and finish times and have strong geographical knowledge.
• Adherence to health and safety and paperwork accuracy is expected.

Responsibilities

• Record accurate information using a handheld terminal.
• Deliver goods in a Class 2 vehicle and ensure roadworthiness.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform daily checks.
• Communicate with transport office and report delays promptly.
• Ensure paperwork is complete and returned to transport office.
• Provide excellent customer service and safe driving practices.
• Deliver to various locations and adhere to road rules and H&S standards.

Class 2 Driver | Full time | Erith Palletforce Logistics

THE ROLE

Our drivers are one of the most important roles within Palletforce Logistics, and as a fully qualified Class 2 Driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use of a handheld terminal to record accurate information
• Occasionally driving 3.5t vehicles during peak periods
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
• Driving Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly
• Ensure you do your daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use
• Ensure you inform the transport office of any problems in good time i.e. if you’re running late
• Fit to drive; considering alcohol intake, daily rest, prescribed/over the counter medication that could affect your ability to drive
• To ensure you arrive at your job on time
• Excellent customer service
• Maintain health and safety standards
• Operating in a safe way, following all road rules
• Ensure all paperwork is correct, completed and returned to the transport office
• Delivering goods to various locations

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

• Refrigeration experience is preferred but not essential
• Minimum experience: 6 months
• Valid Digital Tachograph card is essential
• Completed CPC training course
• Class 2 Driving License (C+E)
• Valid CPC, Digital tacho cards
• Flexibility
• Strong logistical and geographical knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Multi-drop Experience Preferred
• Ability to be adaptable and flexible with start & finish times
• Fully completed driver CPC
• HGV / LGV Class 2 licence with at least 12 months experience
• Be able to work weekends
