Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join the Dispensary & Education and Training team at the John Radcliffe site. The role combines technical dispensing duties with a focus on training, mentoring, and NVQ assessment to develop our apprentices and pre-registration staff.

Qualifications

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician, registered with the GPhC holding an NVQ Level 3 or other relevant qualification.
• Experience in training and development is desirable.
• Ability to mentor and support apprentices and pre-registration staff.

Responsibilities

• Act as an NVQ assessor on completion of CAVA award, working with the Education and Training Team to assess and support our apprentices.
• Progress to become an Internal Verifier (IQA) after relevant experience.
• Mentor and supervise Apprentice Assistants.
• Coordinate inductions and provide practical training to pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants.
• Assist with recruitment and support staff during induction and probation periods.
• Dispensing/checking duties as directed by Senior Technicians.
• Dispensary Co-ordinator responsibilities with Senior Technicians and at weekends.
• Monitor workload and track KPI metrics to support the team.
• Resolve CD balance discrepancies in collaboration with the team.
