Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join the John Radcliffe Hospital dispensary and ward teams. This Band 5, full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week with a weekend and bank holiday rota, combining duties across dispensary and clinical services.

You will assist in labeling, dispensing, checking medicines, and providing patient counselling, while supporting stock management and the robotic labelling system with training provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy services or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Experience in hospital or community dispensary settings.
• Training/supervision of other staff desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support dispensary, stores and ward-based work at John Radcliffe Hospital.
• Label, dispense and check medicines and monitor workload with KPI tracking.
• Provide patient counselling and handle service user queries.
• Assist in training new staff and inductions for team members.
• Participate in weekend duties and rota-based covering.
