Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals’ John Radcliffe Hospital seeks a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join the Dispensary and Education and Training team. You will provide dispensing and checking duties while developing as an NVQ assessor and supporting apprentices through their Pharmacy Services qualification.

With full training to become an NVQ assessor (CAVA) and opportunities to progress to Internal Verifier, the role also includes mentoring Apprentice Assistants, coordinating inductions, and

Qualifications

• Must be a registered Pharmacy Technician with current registration.
• Experience in a hospital dispensary is advantageous.
• Interest in training and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Act as an NVQ assessor on completion of CAVA award, supporting apprentices through their Pharmacy Services qualification.
• Progress to Internal Verifier (IQA) after relevant experience.
• Mentor and supervise Apprentice Assistants.
• Coordinate inductions and provide practical training to pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants.
• Participate in recruitment and support staff through induction and probation.
