Job summary

The John Radcliffe Pharmacy department at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join the dispensary and ward teams. This full-time, Band 5 role offers hospital pharmacy experience across both dispensary and clinical services and requires NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy services and GPhC registration.

Qualifications

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent; GPhC registered.
• Dispensary experience in hospital or community setting.
• Experience in training/supervision of other staff.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
• Team player who works in line with Trust values.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensary, stores and ward-based work on John Radcliffe Hospital site.
• Provide coordinator support to the dispensary team and to Senior Technicians.
• Labeling, dispensing and checking duties; monitor workload and KPI tracking.
• Patient counselling and handling enquiries from service users.
• Ward allows medicines reconciliation, one-stop ordering; manage stores and distribution.
