Job summary

Royal Greenwich is seeking a Disability and Home Improvement Service Manager to lead a broad portfolio that enables residents to live independently and safely. The role manages a ~£8m budget, oversees major adaptations and home improvement services, and leads a 50-strong team to deliver high-quality outcomes for disabled and vulnerable residents.

Qualifications

Significant experience managing customer-focused housing, adaptation, or home improvement services.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Extensive knowledge of disabled adaptations, Disabled Facilities Grants, and private sector home improvement services.
Experience managing complex budgets, contracts, and performance frameworks.
Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work strategically while maintaining a strong focus on service delivery and resident outcomes.
Commitment to equality, inclusion, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

Lead a multidisciplinary team of approximately 50 staff across housing services.
Oversee major disabled adaptations, private sector home improvement agency services, and related programmes.
Develop strategy, shape policy, and manage an circa £8 million budget for the service.
Oversee contract and programme delivery to ensure statutory responsibilities and excellent customer outcomes.
