Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) seeks an accomplished Director to lead Sustainability Reporting and Accounting. You will serve as the senior technical expert, directing regulatory change programmes and ensuring LSEG complies with CSRD, UK SRS, and IFRS reporting standards across the group.

You will manage a multi-year programme, implement Workiva, and coordinate with Deloitte for assurance. A strong track record in financial services, governance, and cross-functional leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical understanding of sustainability reporting regulations applicable to FTSE100 UK headquartered firms.
• Practical experience managing complex regulatory change programmes for large listed companies.
• Detailed technical understanding of ESG rating / proxy adviser methodologies and how to manage ratings.
• Financial sector experience an advantage.
• Experience in working in a large publicly listed organisation.
• Leading and developing teams with strong stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the execution of LSEG’s sustainability reporting and accounting strategy, as the lead technical expert.
• Drive multi-year CSRD and UK SRS workstreams to ensure compliance ahead of FY27.
• Oversee implementation of sustainability reporting technology (Workiva) and training for users.
• Manage relationships with vendors and external reporting partners.
• Ensure timely delivery of annual and in-year reporting processes with appropriate controls.
• Define bases of preparation and reporting for LSEG’s sustainability disclosures.
• Lead limited assurance engagements with the external auditor (Deloitte).
• Reassess reporting boundaries for acquisitions and divestitures.
• Support improvements in ESG ratings and proxy adviser performance.
• Represent LSEG in industry forums and external events.
