Job summary

Eden Scott is seeking a Director of Platform Engineering to lead the evolution of a modern platform function. The role is fully remote within the UK and focuses on shaping the vision, roadmap, and operating model for cloud infrastructure, automation, reliability, identity, networking, and developer enablement.

You will drive automation through Infrastructure as Code, build high-performing teams across infrastructure, network, reliability, and platform services, and partner with senior leadership

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading production engineering teams and hiring.
• Hands-on coding and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience operating in regulated environments (PCI DSS and SOX).
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and public cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the platform engineering strategy and long-term roadmap.
• Lead and develop high-performing engineering teams across infrastructure, network, reliability, identity, and platform services.
• Drive automation-first principles through Infrastructure as Code and self-service platforms.
• Champion reliability, security, and operational excellence across critical platforms.
• Partner with technology and business leaders to align platform investments with objectives.
• Enhance developer productivity through modern tooling and engineering practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies including AI-driven engineering capabilities.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
