Job summary

Experis seeks an experienced Lead Azure Platform Engineer to provide technical leadership for a high-performing Agile delivery team. You will design, build, automate and support secure Azure cloud infrastructure while maintaining hands-on capability and setting technical direction.

The role involves planning sprint work, coordinating with architects and stakeholders, and ensuring governance and quality across cloud solutions using IaC, pipelines and security controls.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Azure platform engineering in Agile teams.
• Proven design, build, and automated secure cloud infrastructure in Azure.
• Hands-on capability with DevOps practices and governance.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical leadership and direct sprint work.
• Plan platform engineering activity across sprints and delivery increments.
• Direct sprint planning, refinement, delivery, review and retrospectives; remove blockers.
• Approve work against acceptance criteria, engineering standards and security controls.
• Maintain RAID log with owners, impacts, mitigations and dates.
• Governance reporting on delivery status, risks and decisions.
• Translate architecture into engineering plans and oversee deployment.
