About the Job
The Director of Sales is responsible for all sales efforts for Maxx Royal Maldives, which is opening soon. The role involves creating and activating sales strategies, recommending growth initiatives, monitoring progress, and ensuring the brand's proper positioning within the luxury UK marketplace.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Maxx Royal Resorts Sales Head Quarter to drive business needs and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels.
- Create and implement sales plans; provide insights for marketing plans to support business objectives and focus sales efforts.
- Set targets and establish reporting mechanisms.
- Work with the operations team on developing sales-influenced segments.
- Understand the brand's full commercial strategy to meet targets.
- Build relationships with revenue management and reservations teams to sell properties effectively.
- Stay informed on market conditions to keep the hotel competitive, including market share analysis via STR.
- Monitor demand, identify risks and opportunities, and execute sales activities accordingly.
- Research customer attitudes and concerns to forecast future revenue.
- Become an expert in the UK market.
- Identify and target vertical markets.
- Participate in trade shows, familiarization trips, exhibitions, and trade organizations.
- Produce timely and accurate reports for Maxx Royal Maldives.
- Contribute to the development of annual business and marketing plans with the Sales Head Quarter.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of sales experience, with a focus on the UK market and preferably Maldives.
- Degree in sales, business development, or related field.
- Assertive, professional, positive, with proven business development skills.
- Deep understanding of the UK luxury hotel market.
- Ability to work independently and innovatively in a busy environment.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- High commitment to customer service.
- Strong analytical skills for business indicators and trends.
