Job description
Director of Quality Improvement

Are you passionate about driving excellence in teaching, learning and assessment? DN Colleges Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Quality Improvement to lead strategic initiatives that enhance the quality of provision across our further education programmes.

Reporting to the Vice Principal Quality, this group‑wide role will be central to shaping the future of teaching and learning at DN Colleges Group. You will work collaboratively with curriculum leaders and quality colleagues to implement impactful training, support staff development and ensure high standards are consistently achieved across all provision types.

Essential Criteria
  • A relevant degree and a recognised quality assurance qualification
  • Proven experience of leading teaching and learning functions across an organisation
  • Demonstrable success in improving teaching and learning outcomes
  • Strong knowledge of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and quality assurance requirements
  • Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic direction for teaching, learning and assessment across the group
  • Collaborate with curriculum leaders to implement quality improvement initiatives
  • Work with the Director of Quality Assurance to embed a robust quality framework
  • Champion student voice as a key measure of teaching and learning effectiveness
  • Oversee training and development programmes informed by lesson visits and performance reviews
  • Maintain awareness of pedagogical developments and build external networks to inform practice
  • Support the transition to new regulatory frameworks ensuring compliance and excellence
