Job summary

Nottinghamshire Hospice Limited is seeking a Head of Community Services to provide clinical and operational leadership for our community services, ensuring high-quality, safe, responsive, and compassionate palliative care at home.

The postholder will travel across Nottinghamshire, oversee the Hospice in Your Home service, and participate in an on-call rota roughly one week in five weeks. You will lead teams, drive quality improvement, and champion equity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional with current registration.
• Leadership or management qualifications or willingness to work towards one.
• Master's degree or equivalent advanced study.
• Specialist qualification or significant experience in palliative and end-of-life care.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and clinical leadership across community services.
• Oversee equity, diversity and inclusion in people practices.
• Attend Leadership Team meetings and support Senior Leadership Team strategies.
• Lead on the Hospices Clinical on-call rota and on-call responsibilities.
• Ensure patients and families receive person-centred, equitable, and compassionate care.
• Lead recruitment, retention, and professional development within teams.
