Job summary

Nottinghamshire Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Hospice in Your Home Team. The role covers 18–36 hours per week across two to four 9-hour shifts on a 7-day, 3-shift roster (early, late and night). The base salary is £32,666 per year for 36 hours, with enhancements for night, weekend and bank holidays.

You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle; comprehensive induction is provided and a range of staff benefits accompany the role.

• Must be a Registered Adult Nurse with post-registration experience in community settings.
• Must possess a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
• Comprehensive induction provided; no mandatory palliative care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide planned 1:1 care in patients' homes as part of the Hospice in Your Home Team.
• Deliver generic palliative care and coordinate with other professionals in the community.
• Work across a 7-day, 3-shift roster including weekends and bank holidays.

Registered Nurse Hospice in Your Home Team

£32,666 Basic annual salary based on 36 hours per week

(*Excludes enhancement for Night, Weekend and Bank Holiday working)

18 - 36 hours per week worked over two - four 9-hour shifts

Shifts worked across a 7 day / 3-shift roster. Monday to Sunday (early) 7.00am-4.00pm, (late) 1.00pm-10.00pm and (Night) 10.00pm-7.00am

This role

You will work within a supportive multi-disciplinary team, in a professional service, making a real difference to the lives of patients and their families. Working in an environment where the patient is truly the centre of care, you will be part of a supportive and fun team where everyone is valued for their unique skills and experience. You do not need palliative care experience (although that would be great) as we offer a comprehensive induction package.

Our Hospice in Your Home Team provides planned 1:1 care and a roaming service to people in their own homes. The successful postholder will work shifts across the week, including weekends and bank holidays, on a planned rota basis.

You must be a Registered Adults Nurse with post registration experience, knowledge and skills to deliver generic palliative care in the community. Support will be given to the postholder to develop their career ambitions. You must possess a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle.

The successful applicant will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
