Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Director of Software Engineering in London to lead a senior, high-agency engineering team within the DMET Execute platform. You will set architecture, drive delivery, and own the reliability and client experience of a latency-sensitive trading platform for internal and external users.

You will grow engineers, guide AI-enabled development practices, and shape engineering standards and controls across teams, partnering with stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and expert applied experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional technologists and teams.
• Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
• Experience leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering practices with secure handling of inputs/outputs.

Responsibilities

• Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives.
• Sets direction and governance for AI-enabled engineering and SDLC/TLM automation to drive improvements.
• Owns architecture and engineering direction for a latency-sensitive trading platform.
• Delivers technical solutions leveraged across multiple businesses and domains.
• Influences senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
• Leads delivery across the Execute platform for internal and external users.
