Job summary

JPMorganChase in London seeks a Director of Software Engineering to lead a team of software, data, and ML engineers. You own delivery, people, and technical direction for B2B agents and productionized ML models on the NEO agent platform.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration, set architectural direction, and ensure compliance with risk, cybersecurity, and governance standards before production deployment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with leadership experience.
• Experience delivering system design, development, testing, and ops stability.
• Track record scaling engineering teams and developing leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the London engineering team across roles with hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Own delivery roadmap for B2B agentic commerce agents from launch to scale.
• Set multi-agent architecture direction, pricing policy, evaluation and observability.
• Oversee ML production lifecycle: training, deployment, monitoring, retraining.
• Navigate model risk, cybersecurity, and control reviews before go-live.
• Collaborate with platform, data, channel, and business teams; promote reusable patterns.
• Advise on resource, budget, vendor selection, and operational decisions.
• Lead external vendor evaluations for architecture and security credentials.
• Communicate progress and risks clearly to senior technology and business leaders.
• Promote diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
