Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Deployment Engineering Director in Greater London to lead and scale a high-performing engineering team responsible for core platform systems. You will drive multi-quarter platform initiatives to improve delivery velocity, reliability, and product quality through systems validation.

You will partner with Product Management and other engineering teams to evolve the platform as a product, balancing long-term architecture with near-term business needs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in systems engineering management.
• Experience in a large cloud provider or hyperscale data center.
• Experience in systems/compute operations leadership.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team responsible for core platform systems used across the company.
• Define and drive multi-quarter platform initiatives to improve delivery velocity, reliability, and quality through validations.
• Partner with Product Management and engineering teams to evolve the platform as a product.
• Turn ambiguous problems into clear execution plans.
• Drive alignment across teams working on interdependent systems including internal platforms and tooling.
• Raise the bar on engineering quality and operational excellence across the platform organization.
