Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Lead Platform Engineer to own a functional team within Platform Engineering. You’ll ensure production stability, guide delivery priorities, and collaborate with engineers and the product manager to implement strategic priorities.

You will lead major initiatives, promote a culture of open communication, and mentor engineers while operating in a remote-first environment across time zones.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering critical-path projects at scale.
• Excellent asynchronous communication across multiple time zones and countries.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
• Experience mentoring a team to high quality outputs.
• Experience supporting large-scale internet-facing distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own production stability and reliability for the team’s services.
• Manage team priorities and delivery milestones.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineers and Product Manager on technical implementations.
• Lead major initiatives with clear timelines.
• Coach and develop engineers; deliver security and reliability improvements.
