Job summary

Turner Property Recruitment is guiding an established multidisciplinary property consultancy to appoint a Director & Service Lead, Fire Engineering in London. You will build and shape a new Fire Engineering service line with board backing and an existing client base.

You will lead strategy, governance, growth, and recruitment, developing a high-performing team across London and the wider UK, with a competitive salary and hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Chartered Fire Engineer with the Institution of Fire Engineers.
• Strong technical background in fire engineering.
• Experience leading and developing people.
• Commercially aware with client-winning experience.
• Able to develop fee proposals and business plans.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations and Higher-Risk Buildings.

Responsibilities

• Establish fire engineering business plan and growth strategy.
• Recruit, lead and develop a specialist Fire Engineering team.
• Develop existing client relationships and generate new opportunities.
• Establish technical standards, QA processes and governance.
• Lead high-risk commissions and Building Safety submissions.
• Fire strategies across RIBA Stages 1 to 6.
• Higher-Risk Buildings and Building Safety Regulator submissions.
• Building Regulations Part B advice.
• Gateway One and London Plan Policy D12 fire statements.
• FRAEW and PAS 9980 assessments.
• External wall and remediation advice.
• Fire risk, compartmentation and fire-door assessments.
• Technical due diligence, peer review and expert advice.
• Working closely with the wider consultancy to cross-sell Fire Engineering services.
