Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Director to lead Client Management in Transaction Banking Solutions, based in London or Newport. The role focuses on retaining and expanding strategic client relationships across Merchant Services, Commercial Cards and Open Account offerings.

You will line manage client managers, drive account planning, pipeline management and service excellence, working with Risk, Operations, Technology, Legal and other partners to deliver strong client outcomes and sustainable

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of merchant services and acquiring.
• Experience managing merchant services client relationships.
• Knowledge of Commercial Cards and Open Account solutions.
• Proven people leadership with cross‑functional influence.
• Strong commercial judgement and client outcome focus.
• Ability to collaborate across Sales, Product, Risk and Ops.

Responsibilities

• Lead client managers across payment solutions and open account offerings.
• Coordinate account planning, pipeline management and client engagement.
• Embed consistent client management processes across portfolios.
• Translate client insights into actionable priorities for engagement and growth.
• Partner with Product, Sales and Risk to shape cross‑product opportunities.
• Maintain a strong customer focus delivering measurable outcomes.
